• Class of 2011

  • Roots of GU experience: Davis Center (on/offstage), TPST classes, Nomadic Theatre, Culture and Performance Living & Learning Community
  • What did you study and did you pursue graduate school? I majored in Theater & Performance Studies with a double minor in Psychology and History. I received my MFA from Brown University/Trinity Repertory.
  • What’s the Davis Center’s lasting impact on your current values and work? 1) Developing the whole person is part of developing an artist, and I learned the importance of being multifaceted. 2) Embracing multiple inclusive perspectives. 3) Discipline.
  • What are other important activities for you? Fundraising for Covenant House New York (Homeless Youth), and I have participated in Broadway (now Stage and Screen) Sleepout multiple times.
  • What are some professional highlights? Acting in Othello at New York Theater Workshop — that engaged my collaborative and generative skills and also required research and translation from me. I recently had a reading of my play at The Lark in New York, dramaturged by Adam Elsayigh of the Lab for Global Performance and Politics and featuring Caitlin Nasema Cassidy (CO 2011) in the cast. I have received a new play commission from Atlantic Theater Company for 2022.
